To Explain Salvation

The following is a simple lesson on the complexity of salvation and, hopefully, it teaches how to understand what we have came to believe by faith.
To start, the salvation message or, the message of reconciliation, was given to the Apostle Paul and he was told to share it with the whole world of Gentiles.
1Cor. 15:1-8
Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;  By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.  For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures;  And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the Scriptures:  And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.

Q: Why did Jesus die?  A: To purchase our debt of death for the SINS we commit. (ALL SINS)
Q: Whose sins? A:  The Whole World
This was a One Time Deal.
All that was ever needed to be done for our forgiveness has Already Been accomplished.
All we do is believe thru faith.

Heb. 9:11-28
Heb. 10:1-18
Heb 9:11 But Christ being come a high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;
Heb 9:12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
Heb 9:13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:
Heb 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
Heb 9:15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
Heb 9:16 For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. Note: the new testament actually started with the death of Christ
Heb 9:17 For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.
Heb 9:18 Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood.
Heb 9:19 For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people,
Heb 9:20 Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.
Heb 9:21 Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry.
Heb 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
Heb 9:23 It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.
Heb 9:24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:
Heb 9:25 Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;
Heb 9:26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
Heb 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. Note: One time deal i.e. He don’t keep going back to the cross to forgive sins. When he died the sin of the whole world went with him ALL we have to do is believe thru faith. It’s already did. Past Present & future sins are as far away as east from west.
Heb 10:1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.
Heb 10:2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshipers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.
Heb 10:3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year. (a repetitive process)
Heb 10:4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.
Heb 10:5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:
Heb 10:6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.
Heb 10:7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.
Heb 10:8 Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;
Heb 10:9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.
Heb 10:10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
Heb 10:11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:
Heb 10:12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God;
Heb 10:13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
Heb 10:14 For by one offering he hath perfected forever them that are sanctified.
Heb 10:15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,
Heb 10:16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
Heb 10:17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
Heb 10:18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
The idea is that the WORK was completed by JESUS on the cross BEFORE we ever sinned they were already forgiven us them. Jesus died for the whole world. The sins of the world were on him as he hung on the cross. So, sins were forgiven for everyone at the same time, When he died & before we sinned we were already forgiven, When we believe (have faith) of God, we are called by him to salvation. It is not our decision but his faith that saves us and with true salvation comes a circumcision of the heart, a change in our heart that creates a new man in us. And it is that same faith that keeps us unto the end. Not I but Christ.
IT’S IMPORTANT to REALIZE THAT WE HAVE NO PART IN SALVATION. It IS GOD & HIS FAITH THAT SUSTAINS US. IF WE COULD DO ANY OF IT, HE WOULD NOT NEEDED to have  DIED.

Rom. 10:9-10
Rom 10:9  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Rom 10:10  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

1Cor. 11:31-32
1Co 11:31  For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
1Co 11:32  But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

2Cor. 5:10
2Co 5:10  For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. (our Deeds will be judged, Our sins are forgiven)

Rom. 7:1- 8:17
Rom 7:1 Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?
Rom 7:2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.
Rom 7:3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man. (When Christ Died He fulfilled the law thru love so that we are free from the law that chained us to rules that were beyond our power to keep.)
Rom 7:4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God. Married to Jesus Christ thru the unity of the Holy Spirit possessing our lives. (Fruit is a by product, not a commandment)
Rom 7:5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.
Rom 7:6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter. (A New Spirit in us.
Rom 7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet. (Law shows us our weakness. and our nature given to the power that sin principle has over us.)
Rom 7:8 But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead. (showed me that I was Evil by nature)
Rom 7:9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died. (death became penalty for sin when law was given)
Rom 7:10 And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death. (to keep the law was to live, but I had not the power to do so.)
Rom 7:11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me. (I am a slave to sin)
Rom 7:12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good. (Because it pointed me to a needed savior)
Rom 7:13 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful. (Law showed me the error of my ways)
Rom 7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. (we are dealing with two different rules of engagement in this fight. Carnal is that I can't help but to sin because it is a part of me. Spiritual is that it is not me that puts down sin in me, But it is Christ in me)
Rom 7:15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
Rom 7:16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
Rom 7:17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
Rom 7:18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. Rom 7:19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.  (I struggle to fight against myself and loose every time)
Rom 7:20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.  (It is no longer I that sin, but the principle of sin that controls me. because of Adams punishment the fleshly desire to sin will always remain in my being on some level of potential control.)
Rom 7:21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
Rom 7:22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
Rom 7:23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
Rom 7:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? (Jesus did when he died for our sins)
Rom 7:25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin. (we fight a loosing inward battle on spiritual proportions until we discover that we cannot defeat evil. It is stronger than we ever will be.) BUT, Jesus died to pay for our penalty of sin. He died so we don't have to and thru his death we are given a new man in our being that can, in our weakness, resist the sin nature in our selves. This new nature is an awakening of our spirit to the righteousness of God and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in our being And HE keeps us in a good and holy relationship with God. It has always been and will always be Not I But Christ.)
Rom 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Rom 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. (After Salvation, We are free from sin because we are free from the constraints of the law. We no longer are held accountable to the law for the sake of obedience but are given a desire from the Holy Spirit to please God and the law is kept as a by product of faith not a requirement of righteousness.)
Rom 8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: (Do U See That the death of Christ defeated the power than sin has over us. We Must understand this)
Rom 8:4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. (until we understand that IN GOD there resides power to KEEP US ALWAYS walking after the Spirit) We will always fall back into the old nature of sin as an excuse of I can't help it, When actually you can help it. Your rescuer is within you and He is The Holy Spirit
Rom 8:5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. (Ultimately when we walk after the Spirit He controls us because we have freely submitted our will to Him)
Rom 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. (Understand that with the war that rages within each of us the power in victory over sin is submission to the Holy Spirit that lives within us and guides us to righteousness.)
Rom 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. (If it could be then Jesus would not have died)
Rom 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT SAVED!!
Rom 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. (NOW UNDERSTAND THIS: IF we are really saved thru faith then WE DONOT live to gratify the flesh. We LIVE BY FAITH that freely submits to God AND if we ever do fall back into our old ways of sin then it is a choice we made because the power that sin used to have over us is now gone. AND that Jesus Christ is in heaven acting as a mediator for us as the Holy Spirit convicts us of our sin and bring us back to submitting our will to God.)
Rom 8:10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
Rom 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
Rom 8:12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. (WE ARE free from the desires of the flesh. UNDERSTAND this and accept it) this acceptance is gradual in us as we become more like Christ BUT it is our hesitance that causes it to take so long. SUBMITT to GOD.)
Rom 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. (The Spirit of God Kills our physical desire to sin so that as we grow in Christ we are made to be more and more like him.)
Rom 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. (If we are not lead by the Spirit we are NOT saved.)
Rom 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
Rom 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: (Comfort, Peace, and assurance in knowing that we rest in the salvation of God.
Rom 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. (NOTE: we are not promised prosperity but sufferings>! as believers we get the wrong idea that our lives should now be getting more and more perfect because God loves us and takes care of us : when really we are not living for Christ until we can glory in our sufferings for his sake.) SO Rejoice when thing are falling apart and we loose control of our lives. It is then that we come to depend on him and learn that we can actually and confidently do so.
Rom 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. (without suffering there is little reward)
Finally, we realize that we live both by faith and by knowledge. It is humbling to discover that when we mess up and go against God, we are living by our own means according to what we know and when we do right and succeed in this walk it is not me walking, but Christ in me.
