Are you tired of fighting to live a christian life?

Do you find yourself struggling to live a good Christian life? If you are one of the thousands that just can’t seem to live like a Christian; then Quit Trying. That’s right, just quit. You see, Jesus died two thousand years ago because we couldn’t live a good Christian life then either. So, what makes you think that you are better than those that tried back then? Why are you still fighting yourself to finish a job that God started? He changes your life to be like Him.
Know that the victory is not in the fight, but in understanding the war.
Jesus won the war. I read the back of the book.
Now, we must understand how we are supposed to react because of this victory.

First, understand that it is not by our own power that we can live as productive Christians. Jesus died as a sacrifice because we couldn’t do right.
Romans 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
We have never been able to meet Gods expectations without the Guidance of The Holy Spirit.

Second, Know that the faith of Christ is what supplies our righteousness.
Rom. 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. Rom. 6:18 Being made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

Third, Choose to be obedient to the guidance of The Holy Spirit.
Romans 6:10-14; For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

Fourth, get out of the drivers seat. Let God drive. Live a life of service. Change your way of thinking, submit to the direction of God.
Romans 12:1-2 I BESEECH you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Fifth, Be Spirit filled. Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. Gal 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.  Believers were filled with The Spirit at Pentecost and then Paul instructs believers in Eph 5:18 to continually be filled with The Spirit. And says again that he will not be complete until he is with Christ, Phill 3:13-19.

Sixth, Live a life of separation. Change and pull yourself away from your old life as God pulls on your heart. But beware of trying to do this yourself. Follow after God by His guidance, NOT thru your own pride.
I Thes. 5:22-23 Abstain from all appearance of evil. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Seventh, Grow into Maturity.
II Peter 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever.

I John 2:12-13  Christian development
I Peter 2:2  A Baby Christian.
I Cor 3:1-2  A Carnal Christian.
II Peter 3:18 Adult Believer.

This progress is obtained thru committed prayer, Bible study, stewardship, and fellowship with like believers.

Eighth, You must understand that your failure or achievement isn’t based on your physical ability but on your spiritual commitment. Your comprehension and acceptance of step one listed above.
Romans 10:9-10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
