To Explain Salvation


The following is a simple lesson on the complexity of salvation and, hopefully, it teaches how to understand what we have came to believe by faith.
To start, the salvation message or, the message of reconciliation, was given to the Apostle Paul and he was told to share it with the whole world of Gentiles.
1Cor. 15:1-8
  Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;  By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.  For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures;  And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the Scriptures:  And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time.

Q: Why did Jesus die?  A: To purchase our debt of death for the SINS we commit. (ALL SINS)
Q: Whose sins? A:  The Whole World
This was a One Time Deal.
All that was ever needed to be done for our forgiveness has Already Been accomplished.
All we do is believe thru faith.

Heb. 9:11-28
Heb. 10:1-18
Heb 9:11 But Christ being come a high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;
Heb 9:12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
Heb 9:13 For if the blood of bulls and of goats, and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling the unclean, sanctifieth to the purifying of the flesh:
Heb 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
Heb 9:15 And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance.
Heb 9:16 For where a testament is, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. Note: the new testament actually started with the death of Christ
Heb 9:17 For a testament is of force after men are dead: otherwise it is of no strength at all while the testator liveth.
Heb 9:18 Whereupon neither the first testament was dedicated without blood.
Heb 9:19 For when Moses had spoken every precept to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of calves and of goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book, and all the people,
Heb 9:20 Saying, This is the blood of the testament which God hath enjoined unto you.
Heb 9:21 Moreover he sprinkled with blood both the tabernacle, and all the vessels of the ministry.
Heb 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.
Heb 9:23 It was therefore necessary that the patterns of things in the heavens should be purified with these; but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.
Heb 9:24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:
Heb 9:25 Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;
Heb 9:26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.
Heb 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:
Heb 9:28 So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation. Note: One time deal i.e. He don’t keep going back to the cross to forgive sins. When he died the sin of the whole world went with him ALL we have to do is believe thru faith. It’s already did. Past Present & future sins are as far away as east from west.
Heb 10:1 For the law having a shadow of good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year continually make the comers thereunto perfect.
Heb 10:2 For then would they not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshipers once purged should have had no more conscience of sins.
Heb 10:3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year. (a repetitive process)
Heb 10:4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.
Heb 10:5 Wherefore when he cometh into the world, he saith, Sacrifice and offering thou wouldest not, but a body hast thou prepared me:
Heb 10:6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin thou hast had no pleasure.
Heb 10:7 Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God.
Heb 10:8 Above when he said, Sacrifice and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou wouldest not, neither hadst pleasure therein; which are offered by the law;
Heb 10:9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.
Heb 10:10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.
Heb 10:11 And every priest standeth daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:
Heb 10:12 But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God;
Heb 10:13 From henceforth expecting till his enemies be made his footstool.
Heb 10:14 For by one offering he hath perfected forever them that are sanctified.
Heb 10:15 Whereof the Holy Ghost also is a witness to us: for after that he had said before,
Heb 10:16 This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, saith the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, and in their minds will I write them;
Heb 10:17 And their sins and iniquities will I remember no more.
Heb 10:18 Now where remission of these is, there is no more offering for sin.
The idea is that the WORK was completed by JESUS on the cross BEFORE we ever sinned they were already forgiven us them. Jesus died for the whole world. The sins of the world were on him as he hung on the cross. So, sins were forgiven for everyone at the same time, When he died & before we sinned we were already forgiven, When we believe (have faith) of God, we are called by him to salvation. It is not our decision but his faith that saves us and with true salvation comes a circumcision of the heart, a change in our heart that creates a new man in us. And it is that same faith that keeps us unto the end. Not I but Christ.
IT’S IMPORTANT to REALIZE THAT WE HAVE NO PART IN SALVATION. It IS GOD & HIS FAITH THAT SUSTAINS US. IF WE COULD DO ANY OF IT, HE WOULD NOT NEEDED to have  DIED.

Rom. 10:9-10
Rom 10:9  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
Rom 10:10  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

1Cor. 11:31-32
1Co 11:31  For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged.
1Co 11:32  But when we are judged, we are chastened of the Lord, that we should not be condemned with the world.

2Cor. 5:10
2Co 5:10  For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. (our Deeds will be judged, Our sins are forgiven)

Rom. 7:1- 8:17
 Rom 7:1 Know ye not, brethren, (for I speak to them that know the law,) how that the law hath dominion over a man as long as he liveth?
Rom 7:2 For the woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth; but if the husband be dead, she is loosed from the law of her husband.
Rom 7:3 So then if, while her husband liveth, she be married to another man, she shall be called an adulteress: but if her husband be dead, she is free from that law; so that she is no adulteress, though she be married to another man. (When Christ Died He fulfilled the law thru love so that we are free from the law that chained us to rules that were beyond our power to keep.)
Rom 7:4 Wherefore, my brethren, ye also are become dead to the law by the body of Christ; that ye should be married to another, even to him who is raised from the dead, that we should bring forth fruit unto God. Married to Jesus Christ thru the unity of the Holy Spirit possessing our lives. (Fruit is a by product, not a commandment)
Rom 7:5 For when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins, which were by the law, did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.
Rom 7:6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter. (A New Spirit in us.
Rom 7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet. (Law shows us our weakness. and our nature given to the power that sin principle has over us.)
Rom 7:8 But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead. (showed me that I was Evil by nature)
Rom 7:9 For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died. (death became penalty for sin when law was given)
Rom 7:10 And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death. (to keep the law was to live, but I had not the power to do so.)
Rom 7:11 For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me. (I am a slave to sin)
Rom 7:12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good. (Because it pointed me to a needed savior)
Rom 7:13 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful. (Law showed me the error of my ways)
Rom 7:14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin. (we are dealing with two different rules of engagement in this fight. Carnal is that I can't help but to sin because it is a part of me. Spiritual is that it is not me that puts down sin in me, But it is Christ in me)
Rom 7:15 For that which I do I allow not: for what I would, that do I not; but what I hate, that do I.
Rom 7:16 If then I do that which I would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
Rom 7:17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
Rom 7:18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. Rom 7:19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.  (I struggle to fight against myself and loose every time)
Rom 7:20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.  (It is no longer I that sin, but the principle of sin that controls me. because of Adams punishment the fleshly desire to sin will always remain in my being on some level of potential control.)
Rom 7:21 I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.
Rom 7:22 For I delight in the law of God after the inward man:
Rom 7:23 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.
Rom 7:24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? (Jesus did when he died for our sins)
Rom 7:25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin. (we fight a loosing inward battle on spiritual proportions until we discover that we cannot defeat evil. It is stronger than we ever will be.) BUT, Jesus died to pay for our penalty of sin. He died so we don't have to and thru his death we are given a new man in our being that can, in our weakness, resist the sin nature in our selves. This new nature is an awakening of our spirit to the righteousness of God and the indwelling of the Holy Spirit in our being And HE keeps us in a good and holy relationship with God. It has always been and will always be Not I But Christ.)
Rom 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Rom 8:2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. (After Salvation, We are free from sin because we are free from the constraints of the law. We no longer are held accountable to the law for the sake of obedience but are given a desire from the Holy Spirit to please God and the law is kept as a by product of faith not a requirement of righteousness.)
Rom 8:3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: (Do U See That the death of Christ defeated the power than sin has over us. We Must understand this)
Rom 8:4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. (until we understand that IN GOD there resides power to KEEP US ALWAYS walking after the Spirit) We will always fall back into the old nature of sin as an excuse of I can't help it, When actually you can help it. Your rescuer is within you and He is The Holy Spirit
Rom 8:5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. (Ultimately when we walk after the Spirit He controls us because we have freely submitted our will to Him)
Rom 8:6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. (Understand that with the war that rages within each of us the power in victory over sin is submission to the Holy Spirit that lives within us and guides us to righteousness.)
Rom 8:7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. (If it could be then Jesus would not have died)
Rom 8:8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT SAVED!!
Rom 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. (NOW UNDERSTAND THIS: IF we are really saved thru faith then WE DONOT live to gratify the flesh. We LIVE BY FAITH that freely submits to God AND if we ever do fall back into our old ways of sin then it is a choice we made because the power that sin used to have over us is now gone. AND that Jesus Christ is in heaven acting as a mediator for us as the Holy Spirit convicts us of our sin and bring us back to submitting our will to God.)
Rom 8:10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness.
Rom 8:11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
Rom 8:12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. (WE ARE free from the desires of the flesh. UNDERSTAND this and accept it) this acceptance is gradual in us as we become more like Christ BUT it is our hesitance that causes it to take so long. SUBMITT to GOD.)
Rom 8:13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. (The Spirit of God Kills our physical desire to sin so that as we grow in Christ we are made to be more and more like him.)
Rom 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. (If we are not lead by the Spirit we are NOT saved.)
Rom 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.
Rom 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: (Comfort, Peace, and assurance in knowing that we rest in the salvation of God.
Rom 8:17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together. (NOTE: we are not promised prosperity but sufferings>! as believers we get the wrong idea that our lives should now be getting more and more perfect because God loves us and takes care of us : when really we are not living for Christ until we can glory in our sufferings for his sake.) SO Rejoice when thing are falling apart and we loose control of our lives. It is then that we come to depend on him and learn that we can actually and confidently do so.
Rom 8:18 For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us. (without suffering there is little reward)
Finally, we realize that we live both by faith and by knowledge. It is humbling to discover that when we mess up and go against God, we are living by our own means according to what we know and when we do right and succeed in this walk it is not me walking, but Christ in me.

Are you tired of fighting to live a christian life?


Do you find yourself struggling to live a good Christian life? If you are one of the thousands that just can’t seem to live like a Christian; then Quit Trying. That’s right, just quit. You see, Jesus died two thousand years ago because we couldn’t live a good Christian life then either. So, what makes you think that you are better than those that tried back then? Why are you still fighting yourself to finish a job that God started? He changes your life to be like Him.
Know that the victory is not in the fight, but in understanding the war.
Jesus won the war. I read the back of the book.
Now, we must understand how we are supposed to react because of this victory.

First, understand that it is not by our own power that we can live as productive Christians. Jesus died as a sacrifice because we couldn’t do right.
Romans 6:4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.
We have never been able to meet Gods expectations without the Guidance of The Holy Spirit.

Second, Know that the faith of Christ is what supplies our righteousness.
Rom. 5:9 Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. Rom. 6:18 Being made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

Third, Choose to be obedient to the guidance of The Holy Spirit.
Romans 6:10-14; For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace.

Fourth, get out of the drivers seat. Let God drive. Live a life of service. Change your way of thinking, submit to the direction of God.
Romans 12:1-2 I BESEECH you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Fifth, Be Spirit filled. Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. Gal 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.  Believers were filled with The Spirit at Pentecost and then Paul instructs believers in Eph 5:18 to continually be filled with The Spirit. And says again that he will not be complete until he is with Christ, Phill 3:13-19.  

Sixth, Live a life of separation. Change and pull yourself away from your old life as God pulls on your heart. But beware of trying to do this yourself. Follow after God by His guidance, NOT thru your own pride.
I Thes. 5:22-23 Abstain from all appearance of evil. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Seventh, Grow into Maturity.
II Peter 3:18 But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever.

I John 2:12-13  Christian development
I Peter 2:2  A Baby Christian.
I Cor 3:1-2  A Carnal Christian.
II Peter 3:18 Adult Believer.

This progress is obtained thru committed prayer, Bible study, stewardship, and fellowship with like believers.

Eighth, You must understand that your failure or achievement isn’t based on your physical ability but on your spiritual commitment. Your comprehension and acceptance of step one listed above.
Romans 10:9-10 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

Difficult to Believe?



If you believe what you read in ‘contradiction or change’, then you should be willing to consider the following thoughts.
1)    Read Galatians and Ephesians with these thoughts as possibilities: Paul became an apostle of Jesus after Jesus died-Gal 1:1.

2)    He was educated by Jesus-Gal 1:12-2:1 and when in conference with the other apostles, they could tell him nothing that he didn’t already know-Gal 2:6. Yet, he added to their understanding of salvation.

3)    Jesus gave Paul the answer to the mystery that had been hidden from the beginning of time-Eph 3:1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12,13                                      A.   Part of this mystery was revealed by Jesus in Luke 8:10
B.   This mystery unified both Jew and Gentile into one category, unbelief-Rom 11:32
C.   This mystery placed Jesus as savior for all mankind-Rom 10:12. This mystery revealed to everyone the concept of faith-Eph 2:7,8,9,10 - and the concept of grace-Heb 11:1- as being attainable to all mankind through a relationship with Jesus.
D.   This mystery fulfilled the reign of the law over mankind-Eph 2:16, Rom 8:1,2,3,4- and freed man to worship God in love and freedom instead of fear and trembling-Eph 4:16.  
E.    This mystery revealed the new Body of Christ-Rom 16:25, Eph 2:19-22, ICor 12:12,27,- the unity of believers,
F.    And the new temple of God-ICor 6:19,- for the Holy Spirit now resides permanently in a believer and leads and directs his life as he is allowed by his host.
G.   This mystery preaches that Jesus reconciled sinful man to a perfect God through the sacrifice of the perfect son-Eph 2:16;-
H.   That God judges sinners on the Great white throne-Rev 20:12,- but sees believers as sons of God and only sees the blood of Jesus that hides their sins from him- John 5:24; -That Jesus judges believers based on the disregard and flippant attitude they have towards the sacrifice he gave for their freedom from hell- IICor 5:10,- and rewards those with works worth keeping I Cor 11:31-32;
I.       That although all this is true and important, it will not grant you eternal life-Rom 10-9,10. But, all this stuff does nothing to increase our salvation. When we understand; then, it simply adds joy and freedom to a loving relationship with a loving God.

Only true belief, thru faith, in Jesus being the only son of God that died and paid our debt of sinning (death) rose from death, and ascended into heaven will assure us eternal life.

This is just the beginning of the mysteries that Jesus revealed to Paul.

And Paul was to share those mysteries with us in his writings.

4.     No One before Paul taught this stuff. It was a revelation given to and unique to Paul from Christ. Just as the law was given to Moses, or that the promise was given to Abraham. Where is the stumbling block that prevents you from accepting this fact?

5.     Understanding the Grace of God in greater measure expands our territory and allows us to grow in a closer relationship with our father. The written Word of God we have received gives us greater understanding, wisdom and knowledge in these troubled times and we are better equipped to serve him as warriors with the sword of truth.

6.     Jesus Christ fulfilled the Law and in doing so he put the laws in our hearts so that when we remain focused on Him,

7.     We are no longer capable of transgression.

8.     It is only when we look into our old man that sin renters our life.

9.     It’s always been and is still, free choice; we are still free to choose minute by minute to follow Christ

10.                        He desires us to worship him out of love, not out of fear or necessity.

Contradiction or Change?



Some say the Bible is full of contradictions. They are wrong. To understand this, you must understand that God had a developed strategy in dealing with people. He is always the same but, his ways of dealing with man and sin has changed over time. He increased our knowledge and understanding with each passing generation. What may have been a true practice in Judges is not particularly true today.
The Synthesis Principle. This is what the Reformers called the analogia scriptura. It means that the Bible doesn’t contradict itself. If we arrive at an interpretation of a passage that contradicts a truth taught elsewhere in the Scriptures, our interpretation cannot be correct. Scripture must be compared with Scripture to discover its full meaning. So, while comparing Scripture with Scripture, we discover that over the past instead of contradiction, God has changed the way he has dealt with man. For example, we modern day evangelical Christians do not do burnt offerings for redemption. Take a look at more changes below; you may be surprised that you are really learning about God in a greater way than ever before.
Say a prayer of preparation and start reading the word. After reading this study, take your own Bible down and follow along with this study again. It’s no trick. These verses really exist in this context. God bless you and your study. Enjoy discovering the Bible like never before.
1) Change in diet
    a. With Adam:
Gen 1:29  And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.
Gen 1:30  And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat: and it was so.
    b: With Noah:
 Gen 9:2  And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be upon every beast of the earth, and upon every fowl of the air, upon all that moveth upon the earth, and upon all the fishes of the sea; into your hand are they delivered.
Gen 9:3  Every moving thing that liveth shall be meat for you; even as the green herb have I given you all things.
Gen 9:4  But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.
    c.  And twice more
Then we see a change in the diet of the Jews thru the laws of Moses and again a change when Jesus said “it’s not what goes in that defiles but what comes out the mouth comes from the heart”.

2) Change in Sacrifice.
    a: With Abraham:
Gen 22:1  And it came to pass after these things, that God did tempt Abraham, and said unto him, Abraham: and he said, Behold, here I am.
Gen 22:2  And he said, Take now thy son, thine only son Isaac, whom thou lovest, and get thee into the land of Moriah; and offer him there for a burnt offering upon one of the mountains which I will tell thee of.
   b. With Jesus:
John 3:16  For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

3) Change in relationships.
     a. With Moses:
Exo 23:32-33  Thou shalt make no covenant with them, nor with their gods. (segregation from Gentiles) They shall not dwell in thy land, lest they make thee sin against me: for if thou serve their gods, it will surely be a snare unto thee.
   
b. With Jesus thru Paul:
Rom 10:12-13  For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.



4) From sin to Liberty.
     a. With Adam:
Gen 3:6-7  And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.

   b. With Jesus:
Rom 5:12  Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:
Rom 5:13-21  (For until the law sin was in the world: but sin is not imputed when there is no law. Nevertheless death reigned from Adam to Moses, even over them that had not sinned after the similitude of Adam's transgression, who is the figure of him that was to come. But not as the offense, so also is the free gift. For if through the offense of one many be dead, much more the grace of God, and the gift by grace, which is by one man, Jesus Christ, hath abounded unto many. And not as it was by one that sinned, so is the gift: for the judgment was by one to condemnation, but the free gift is of many offenses unto justification. For if by one man's offense death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.) Therefore as by the offense of one judgment came upon all men to condemnation; even so by the righteousness of one the free gift came upon all men unto justification of life. For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. Moreover the law entered, that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.

5) Inocent blood spilled because of sin.
    a. With Adam:
Gen 3:21  Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them

    b. With Jesus:
Eph 1:7  In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
Rom 3:25  Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
1Jn 2:2  And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

6) Israel was given The Law / Later, the world was given liberty.
    a. The Law
Exo 19:5-20:17  Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and a holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel. And God spoke all these words, saying, I am the LORD thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other gods before me. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:
       Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me; And showing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments. Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain. Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labor, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. Honor thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.  Thou shalt not kill. Thou shalt not commit adultery. Thou shalt not steal. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbor's. And the LORD said unto Moses, Hew thee two tables of stone like unto the first: and I will write upon these tables the words that were in the first tables, which thou didst break.
Gal 4:4-6  But when the fullness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

    b. Grace
Gal 3:10-22  For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written, Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. But that no man is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith. And the law is not of faith: but, The man that doeth them shall live in them. Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree: That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise. Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator. Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one. Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law. But the Scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.
Col 2:14-23  Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it. Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of a holy day, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ. Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshiping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, And not holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.  Wherefore if ye be dead with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances, (Touch not; taste not; handle not; Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men? Which things have indeed a show of wisdom in will-worship, and humility, and neglecting of the body; not in any honor to the satisfying of the flesh.

7) Cleansing of Gods preist/Baptism.
    a. Old Testament
Exo 40:13-15  And thou shalt put upon Aaron the holy garments, and anoint him, and sanctify him (with water); that he may minister unto me in the priest's office. And thou shalt bring his sons, and clothe them with coats: And thou shalt anoint them, as thou didst anoint their father, that they may minister unto me in the priest's office: for their anointing shall surely be an everlasting priesthood throughout their generations.
Heb 9:10  Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, imposed on them until the time of reformation.

    b. New Testament
Mat 3:13-17  Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.
       But John forbade him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me? And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfill all righteousness. Then he suffered him. And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Eph 4:4-6  There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism, One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.

Rom 6:3-5  Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 8) Sabbath
    a. The Law
Exo 20:10  But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
Exo 31:13-17  Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily my sabbaths ye shall keep: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am the LORD that doth sanctify you. Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that defileth it shall surely be put to death: for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people. Six days may work be done; but in the seventh is the sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD: whosoever doeth any work in the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death. Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. How he went into the house of God in the days of Abiathar the high priest, and did eat the shewbread, which is not lawful to eat but for the priests, and gave also to them which were with him?
Mat 12:1-8  At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were hungry, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat. But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day. Rom 14:5-6  One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day alike. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. He that regardeth the day, regardeth it unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard it. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.

9) Temple
    a. Temple during the Law
Exo 25:8-9  And let them make me a sanctuary; that I may dwell among them. According to all that I show thee, after the pattern of the tabernacle, and the pattern of all the instruments thereof, even so shall ye make it.
  
 b. Temple after crucifixion
Eph 4:4-16  There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling; One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
Eph 4:6  One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
Eph 4:7  But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men. (Now that he ascended, what is it but that he also descended first into the lower parts of the earth? He that descended is the same also that ascended up far above all heavens, that he might fill all things.) Eph 2:13-22  But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. Now therefore ye are no more strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God; And are built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the chief corner stone; In whom all the building fitly framed together groweth unto a holy temple in the Lord: In whom ye also are builded together for a habitation of God through the Spirit.
Heb 9:11  But Christ being come a high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands,
Co 6:19-20  What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's.

And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye have received, freely give.
Mat 15:22-28  And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us. But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. Then came she and worshiped him, saying, Lord, help me. But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs. And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table. Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.
